Welcome to Pagan Pages Blog Hop in August!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Lammas/Lughnasadh!

And now for an announcement! I'm running out of things to say! Which gives you the chance to fill in the blanks! We're looking for guest bloggers! Starting next month, in addition to featuring the Brilliant Blogger of the month, we'll also be featuring a guest blogger. Please email me (using the link to the right), or comment below with your submissions or with any questions. It could be a blog post, a poem, a photo post, a craft tutorial or a recipe... whatever! I can't wait to see some of the wonderful things you all can come up with!

And now for the requiste monthly reminders:
  • Check out the menu bar for blog entry categories.
  • Click on the 'About' tab to read a little more on how the hop works and descriptions of our categories.
  • Also please checkout the 'Guidelines' tab to review posting and "Brilliant Blogger" guidelines.
  • Remember to always use post specific links when linking up. The only time you should link up a general link to your blog is in the 'New to PPBH' category.
Happy Blogging Everyone!

Brilliant Blogger Award Winner For July:

Tell us a little bit about yourself. - Well, I am 40-something, a mom, a nurse, and oh yeah, a witch.  I have considered myself pagan for about 12 years now, in retrospect, it has been probably closer to 30 years.  I have lived in northern New Hampshire for 2 ½ years now and I still marvel at the beauty of my surroundings.

I am pursuing a Master’s degree in nursing informatics because I am a sucker for punishment  feel that computers are the future of healthcare and as a bedside nurse, I would like to do what I can to ensure that technology does not detract from patient care.  I have been a nurse for 17 years and I can still honestly say that I love my job.  Where else can you save lives AND witness the entertainment that is modern society?

What drove you to starting your own blog? - I first started my blog as an outlet for my stressors in life.  It has slowly begun to morph into a place where I can share a bit of knowledge as I search for my path.  I have recently learned that I am not Wiccan in the strictest sense of the beliefs and the blog is where I can sort out my findings and hopefully make others aware of lesser-known facts.
What is it that you like to blog most about? - I tend to blog about whatever comes to mind, be it witchy or mundane.  I have listed my blog under adult content, not because I have anything smutty on it, but I do occasionally get a bit heated when I type up something and use what my MawMaw used to call “ugly words” and I did not want people to stumble in and be shocked.

Your thoughts on PPBH? - I have enjoyed being a part of PPBH immensely!  It has led me to many blogs that I would not have found otherwise and I have been exposed to many different views.  I check in everyday that I possibly can (I usually work nights and when I am in the middle of three 12 hours shifts in a row, it gets difficult).
Anything else you'd like to add? - I would like to thank all the bloggers that take part in PPBH.  I love reading about your lives and how you follow your beliefs.  I have gotten to where I feel like I know many of you.  Please keep them coming!
Brightest blessings,
Rachel
